During this period he continued to saw custom sized lumber on weekends for local craftsmen and build custom furniture, and he began to create wood butcher blocks to customer requests. The tremendous demand for Grothouse butcher blocks quickly became a full time job for Paul. His extensive experience in lumber, building, engineering, quality and process control is the ideal combination of talents to manage Grothouse Lumber. \r\n\r\nToday the company operates out of a modern 20,000 sqft facility on the farm of Paul & Denise Grothouse in Pennsylvania.
